Monialis Filia is a first-person 3D survival horror game with elements of psychological terror and a PS1 aesthetic. Leonardo attempts to reunite with his daughter 15 years after she was abandoned by her stepfather. Leonardo embarks on a quest to find his daughter in the convent where she was left. However, she is missing, and soon he will venture into the convent to rescue her from the clutches of the malevolent entity that resides in La Verna.

The protagonist, Leonardo, is a well-known exorcist in his country, Italy. He spent 15 years of his life without seeing his daughter, Angela, due to a betrayal. Leonardo separated from his ex-wife, Rosa, when their daughter was only 4 years old. The stepfather, the man whom Rosa betrayed Leonardo with, was possessive, cold, and somewhat deranged.

One day, Leonardo has a vivid and unsettling dream in which he catches a glimpse of an abandoned girl. Startled and terrified, he wakes up gasping for breath. Shortly after, the phone rings...
